• Refreshments provided but please bring your own lunch and drink
• All tools, training and safety equipment will be provided
• We regret that we cannot provide transport, however we will try to help facilitate car sharing
• Requirements - sturdy footwear, warm clothes and waterproofs
Please check this website regularly for any alterations or updates.
Below are the next activities planned. To book your place or for more information please email chris.childe@scottishnativewoods.org.uk or call Chris on 01337 832619.
Sunday 8th August - Falkland & Crossgates Community Woodland - Tree Aftercare
Last November we planted trees at Crossgates but grass is growing in the shelters and this needs to be suppressed. We will collect bark scraped from trees at Falkland and use it to mulch the trees at Crossgates.
Sunday 5th September - Flisk Wood - Woodland Management
This SSSI site is a very picturesque, coastal wood near Balmerino on the Firth of Tay. The wood is predominantly Oak and Ash and we may thin some Sycamore, pick litter or build a bridge - to be confirmed nearer the time.
Sunday 3rd October - Falkland Estate - Woodland Management
We will be in the beautiful woods of Falkland Estate, NE Fife, to help restore the native woodlands. Various jobs require doing including finishing a bridge construction. Details to be confirmed nearer the time.
Come along and learn a new skill and help the environment. Contact chris.childe@scottishnativewoods.org.uk to register or for more information or call Chris on 01337 832169
